The organizers of BIOTECHNICA 2011, Europe's leading trade fair and congress for biotechnology and the life sciences, declared the event a solid success as it drew to a close on October 13.

Spider silk wound dressings

There's a display at the upcoming BIOTECHNICA 2011 trade fair that will blow the cobwebs off our aversion to spiderwebs. Operated by the Laboratory for Regenerative Biology in Plastic Surgery at Hannover Medical School (MHH), the display explores new applications for spider silk in regenerative medicine.
