The event will provide pharmaceutical and biotech companies with an opportunity to find highly specialized partners in the fields of research, development and production. "Growing interest among exhibitors and conference attendees shows that the new keynote theme reflects market trends", says Stephan Kühne, member of the Board at Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover. "In the past biotech and pharmaceutical companies generally carried out their own research and development work. Today, external partners are increasingly being commissioned to undertake such tasks."
In addition to the BioServices exhibition including forum , the organizers Deutsche Messe have also planned a two-day accompanying conference program on the keynote BioServices. Participants will be able to learn about new aspects and trends in this area, as well as make new contacts. Topics featured in the conference program include personalized medicine and biosimilars. Representatives of renowned international companies and research institutes such as Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, and Boehringer Ingelheim will be taking part.
The BioServices Platform 2011 has the support of consultancy Ernst & Young, BIO Deutschland e. V., Berlin, TWINCORE, the Hannover-based centre for experimental and clinical research into infection, as well as the European Association of Pharma Biotechnology.
