BIOTECHNICA Study Prize 2010
As in 2010, the German Life Sciences Association (in German: Verband Biologie, Biowissenschaften und Biomedizin in Deutschland (VBIO e. V.) will award the BIOTECHNICA Study Prize in 2011 to outstanding young investigators in the biological sciences. The Prize is intended to acknowledge excellence at a very early carrier stage. Roche, the world’s largest biotechnology company, will sponsor the Prize with 5000 Euro. Not only does the BIOTECHNICA Study Prize promote young researchers, but it recognises truly innovative experimental approaches and highlights the multi-facetted potential of modern biological sciences.
We encourage all authors of excellent Master- or Diploma theses to apply. All fields of the biological sciences qualify. An expert jury will select from the applications. The Prize will be shared among three theses which fulfil the main criteria of a good experimental set up, a clear presentation of results and a substantiated discussion which references to the current literature. Attention will also be given to inter-disciplinary approaches – that is innovative thinking and research outside ones specific expertise – and an outstanding scientific pioneering spirit.
Join us when we present the winners and their work October 12 starting at 12:00h in the Forum Industrielle Biotechnologie (Hall 9).
